Use the Resumption Log to Determine Why an ISDN Call was Made

SUMMARY

When monitoring the ISDN call activities of an Orbitor router, the Call Resumption Log is an invaluable tool. It will not only provide the details of why a call is made, it provides the addressing information of who made the call.

With this information now in hand, you will be able to fine-tune your application for the most efficient call usage patterns.

MORE INFORMATION

The Resumption Log feature, available on the Network Events menu, displays the 36 most recent connection management link resumption events since the router was last powered up or cleared. The entries in the log indicate the device that the call was resumed to, the protocol that caused the resumption, the source and destination addresses within the frame that caused the resumption, and a hex dump of the frame that caused the resumption. The hex dump of the frame may be used for diagnostic purposes.
