The Content Security Gateway (CSG) 1500 is designed to meet the anti-malware security, high performance, and high availability requirements of enterprise-class organizations and branch offices of several thousand nodes. It can handle HTTP traffic of 314Mbps and SMTP traffic of 460,000 email messages per hour. The CSG 1500 comes with either gigabit copper ports or a combination of gigabit fiber and copper ports. Mission-critical high availability is provided through redundant power supply units and options for fail-open and fail-over.

The CSG 1500 is a real-time gateway anti-malware appliance. It protects against viruses, worms, spyware, and other malware in real-time on HTTP, SMTP, POP3, IMAP, FTP, and HTTPS. The CSG 1500's patent-pending stream-based scanning technology enables scanning of previously undefended real-time protocols such as HTTP. The CSG 1500 is also easy to manage. It includes an LCD display and keypad for ease of configuration and at-a-glance status checks. Users may also access the CSG 1500 through a secure and intuitive web-based administration console in order to set granular policies and alerts, check summary statistics and graphical reports, and drill down to IP address-level data.
