Expansion Module

The 16 port Asynchronous Expansion Module, Develcon part number B31700 installs on an Athena Access mother board. The ports are accessible via RJ45 connectors from the rear of the unit.

RJ45 port Connectors.

The Athena Access 16-Port Async Expansion module provides 16 RJ-45 female connectors on the rear of the chassis. Connections to TIA-232/V.24 devices are provided by standard RJ-45 Male-Male cables and a DCE or DTE adapter, as required.

The DCE adapter allows the Access to provide the signals on the DB-25 Female connector to emulate a DCE device. Terminal type devices can be directly connected to this adapter.

The DTE adapter allows the Access to provide the signals on the DB-25 Male connector to emulate a DTE device. The adapter can be directly connected to TIA-232/V.24 modems.
